When you reach the blissful love stage of a relationship, the love, respect, and attraction that you and your woman feel for each other deepens over time. You have an amazing relationship and you’re one of those couples that people look at and think, So, let’s have a look at each of the stages of a relationship and I’ll explain how it works, where couples go wrong and what you need to do to get to stage five where you experience blissful love and you want to stay together for life. This is where you feel very sexually attracted to each other at the start and you fall in love, which is different to true committed love at the blissful love stage of a relationship.

You feel sexually attracted to each other for life. In stage one, you don’t really care about each other’s faults.

Without commitment, someone gets to enjoy the trappings of a relationship without accountability and responsibility – why buy the cow when you can drink the milk for free?

Unfortunately, if you don’t wise up about your uncommitted relationship, you will expect from it as if you are committed.

Use this as an opportunity to practice patience and compromise. Relationships are about embracing all of your partner – the good, the bad and the strange. During this stage, work and social obligations encroach on your relationship.

You return to “life as usual” with one small addition – your partner.

Recently I wrote about how we can often end up in situations that in our mind feel like we’re in a relationship because they have what appear to be the hallmarks of one, but they’re actually a casual relationship.

This is incredibly frustrating for the average person because they wonder how on earth they can be crazy about someone, share a number of the same interests, feel deep attraction, have sex and contact over a period of time, and still not be in a bondafide committed relationship.

With commitment resistance, one or both of you, whether it’s in an obvious or more subtle, passive aggressive manner, do things that undermine decisions that you appeared to have committed to.
